Join Spain, work remotely

The Digital Nomad Visa is a residency permit designed for non-EU citizens who work remotely—either as employees of a foreign company or as freelancers serving international clients. It allows you to live in Spain while keeping your professional activity abroad, benefiting from the country’s lifestyle and legal stability.

Created under Spain’s Startup Law, this visa offers a fast and flexible pathway to residency for remote professionals. It can be requested from abroad as a visa or from within Spain as the International Remote Work Authorization.
It’s aimed at skilled workers who can perform their job entirely online and whose income mainly comes from outside Spain.

The Digital Nomad Visa is granted for 1 year when requested abroad.
Once in Spain, you can obtain a 3-year residence permit, renewable for 2 more years as long as conditions are maintained.
After 5 years of legal residence, you may apply for long-term residency.
